Submitted my AMCAS a few days ago and put that I had no plans of taking AAMC preview because all the schools just had it as recommended. Not sure how much it hurts my application, and if I do decide to retake it, how would it work since I put no plans of taking it. Thank you so much for all the help so far. GOATED forum!

Only 10 schools require it. If you are not planning to apply to one of these, you have nothing to be concerned about.
1. Kaiser Permanente
2. St. Louis University (SLU)
3. U of Utah
4. Frist/Belmont
5. U Alabama Birmingham
6. UC Davis
7. UCLA Geffen
8. U Hawaii
9. U Mass
10. U Minnesota

Even for the 10 schools that require it, I just don't see the test itself having much weight on your application, even if you do bad on it. It's asking you to assess a situation, which is vastly different from what you would do in that situation. That test is beyond stupid.

I feel like whoever wrote this test saw the CASPer and wanted to rip it off so they can try to make a name for themselves but failed miserably.

No one will care outside of those who require it. It's nonsense.
I agree. This seems to be marketing by AAMC Preview team to imply that it's better to take it than not.
You can simply omit the schools that require it and make your life 1 step easier.

Which takes me back to "I feel like whoever wrote this test saw the CASPer and wanted to rip it off so they can try to make a name for themselves but failed miserably."

I got my money on whoever were the top 10 AAMC officials at the time. No way a test like this can pass unless they came up with it. The fact it assesses how someone assesses a situation rather than asking how they would react should have raised a lot of alarms, but they had to keep their mouths shut or lose their jobs.
