I am officially enrolled in my university's "undergraduate research" course and part of a professor's lab. However, my role in the lab does not consist of wet bench research, but mostly quantitatively analysis of data and helping other students in the lab with their projects.
Additionally, I am helping a few graduate students out with their research designs (providing ideas/improvements) for their projects and will eventually help with data collection.
Although to me this feels like research exposure, I feel the overall consensus is that it is not research unless I am piloting my own study, which will be some time before the happens (post-submission of my application). However, I feel this is a relevant experience, so what category should I list this activity under (perhaps "other"?)?
