Sort of an odd question I know but I really don't know what I am supposed to feel like after leaving an interview. You get almost no feedback other than the reactions of your interviewers.

I have left every interview so far thinking that I had a nice conversation with the interviewer. I know it sounds paranoid but I think that I should feel like I got the third degree, but I haven't so far.

Anyway, what have you all felt leaving your interviews?

asking someone else how you "should" feel never seems productive to me. (its the psych major in me)

But in my experience, i've had a range of feelings after different interviews! Some i felt i really connected with the interviewer and left a good impression of "who i am". One i felt horrible after, and lots of others have been a mix of "well i think that went pretty well but i'm still ruminating over those 2 answers i gave"

practice makes perfect?

You should feel nothing because if your interviewer doesn't suck, they won't give you any indication on how you're doing/did. For example, every applicant that I've interviewed probably thought the interview went reasonably well because I didn't say anything bad, the conversation went smoothly, and, for the most part, they didn't get any questions they would consider off-the-wall. Not everyone one of them got awesome evaluations.

You likely have little or no idea what the interviewer is looking for. Especially at the top schools, the things being sought out are usually pretty nuanced vs. "I want to help people lol."

Unrelated: I know you were a super-awesome, untouchable applicant, and probably the same as a medical student... but Pritzker has brand new MS1's interviewing applicants? Or just you? 😛

I agree with this for the most part, though i did have one interview that i walked out and was like "that was not good..."
...speedy rejection from that school

This sums up this cycle's post-interview feeling/s nicely:

Haha yeah, they let us get in on the interviewing train pretty quickly. We aren't on the committee or anything though.

My feelings after each interview were consistently backwards... All the ones I thought went well = waitlist. All the ones I thought I bombed = accepted (including the school I'm at right now). The only one I thought I rocked was the only school that rejected me post-interview. Go figure.

Not sure if there's a take home lesson from that, other than your "feeling" after an interview doesn't mean much... Oh, and after you leave each interview try your best to immediately forget how it went, because you can't change what was said. Stop stressing.

My first interview at NSUCOM I thought I did really well and I got accepted. My first MD interview at NJMS went terribly and I thought I would get rejected immediately. I actually was called back for a second interview (which I had today) and I thought it went exponentially better..my interviewer even said I was really good, though I'm taking that with a grain of salt. Drexel I also felt I did really well in.

I should know the results within the next few weeks. Hopefully it's legal to feel like I did well and get an acceptance. I'd be heartbroken if I was waitlisted/rejected from both.

I do know what you mean, the end of the day can be very anticlimactic. Youve been nervous/stressed/excited all day and then its just over and you cant really tell how you've done. Especially when they dont tell you an estimation of when you can hear from them. Also an interview so far that I thought I did terribly and was 1/2 the amount of time it was supposed to be ended up turning out in my favor. So I dont even try to judge anymore

Jefferson has M1's interviewing people as well, it's not a Pritzker exclusive thing.
