how to balance the research and clinic

I'm currently studying in physiology PhD program at a famous medical school in America. Since I have received five year medical training, including one year internship rotation in hospital in other country and got medicine degree, I also want to pass USMLE exams in my spare time and may get MD degree and practice medicine in America, is it possible? what should I do?
