I'm very new to this forum so I apologize if I'm using it incorrectly. I'm currently a freshman psychology major at Michigan State and I really want to be an OT. My top school is Grand Valley. However, I know how competitive OT school is and I want to start preparing as soon as possible. I think that my GPA will be a 3.6 after this semester (I struggled to get accustomed to college math here but I should have a 4.0 in two OT pre-reqs) and I'm also working as an English tutor and research assistant in a psych lab next semester. I'm hoping to shadow an OT over the summer as well. Is this a good start? What did you guys do that might have set you apart from other applicants?
