so i'm consistently getting 9s and 10s on the PS and BS and 10s and 11s on the VR on the AAMC practice tests (the last 5 tests, actually) and would be pretty happy with this except: on every single one of these tests my composite has worked out to a 29.

i know this isn't a bad score, but I'm looking to get a 30+ on the real deal on july 18th (this friday). when i go back and see what i missed, i usually have around 10-15 problems that i knew the answer to, but missed for idiotic reasons (clicking the wrong bubble, not fully reading the question, etc). i always go over the tests to see what i've missed (and guessed on), and have done a pretty good content review. i don't usually run out of time on any section, although i usually have less than a minute left when i finish.

aside from venting, i'm wondering if this has happened to anybody else and what you did to break through. constructive advice much appreciated. thanks.

When I started taking practice tests I too got 9's and 10's in PS and BS because of stupid mistakes. Once I slowed down during the tests I stopped making so many of them and my scores went up to 12-13 for PS and 10-12 for BS. I also noticed that there are quite a few answers actually in the text, at least for BS, which also greatly boosted my scores. I just recommend that when you are reading the questions and answers to pay attention to what they are saying. You're doing fine on verbal so this shouldn't be difficult since you already do this for VR. Taking your time on questions shouldn't prevent you from finishing on time either. Good luck on Friday, hopefully it won't be that bad for us! :luck:

thanks q chem. i have been trying to focus better during the test. after about 30 questions or so, sometimes things just seem to get blurry (maybe this is me getting tired/stopping to care).

best of luck to you too. let's rock this sucka!
