Previously I worked as a medical interpreter for two summers at a geriatric care center. I picked this volunteering back up after graduation, but am also simultaneously involved in non-clincal volunteer work at the same institution (handing out lunches, helping patients w everyday tasks, etc.). When filling out the activities section on AMCAS, would it be appropriate to split these activities into clinical and non-clinical respectively?

For the clinical work I was planning to put it as a "recurring" position, as the first time I worked as an interpreter was about 5 years ago. For the non-clinical, I was only going to put the dates since I've started back up. Would this be clear to adcoms if these were two separate entries, or should I pair them together as one entry? I might be limited on space due to being non-trad. Of course I would not be double-counting the hours and thought this would be the easiest way to elucidate the commitments.

Thanks.

It would be best to split these experiences into Medical/Clinical and Not-Medical/Clinical spaces, with each entry providing its own date span and total hours. If you are short on spaces, it's fine to group them with other experiences in the same category.
