What is the appropriate way to withdraw your application after receiving an interview invite? I was hoping there would be something on their website where you sign up for the interview saying I'm not going to come, but there wasn't.

Do I send an e-mail? A letter? Call?

Thanks....

what kind of a thread is this?

just call the secretary and cancel...

i really doubt there's some sort of etiquette involved especially if you're not planning on going there

Good call. 😉

Some schools are fine with you emailing them, but I'd suggest writing a formal letter (A very short one) to tell them your intention.

E-mail should suffice. I liked to word my e-mails like a rejection letter (thanks for the invite, but there were many excellent schools that invited me for an interview. Unfortunately, I could not accomadate them all). Gives the staff something to laugh about. I got one reply telling me thanks for the e-mail and wishing me luck.
