For example, some schools allow organic chem to satisfy the chem 1 and chem 2 requirements. However, some schools may not. How does PTCAS account for this? In other words, if school x only accepts gen chem and school y will take organic or gen chem and I have better grades in organic how can I designate this to satisfy both schools? I hope that makes sense...lol

I'm not certain, but I think PTCAS just does General Chemistry for the core pt gpa, and the schools that have different ways of looking at the core GPA would look at your classes on their own. I'll try to find where I saw that, but I remember reading something similar to that once. Doing better in organic than general? Man, you don't hear that much.

If the school has a special prereq or they accept other classes to fulfill them, I believe it is up to the program to identify these on your transcript. If I were you, I would designate chem 1 and 2 in the PTCAS section, but I would contact the DPT program at this school and let them know you wish to substitute organic to fulfill their chem requirement.

The reason I did better in organic than gen chem was because of better effort. Like many, my transcript is sketchy around fresh-soph but improved a good bit junior-senior. So taking organic when I finally woke up and studied better is why you see that trend lol!
