How to download lectures

I'm trying to download PowerPoint off of blackboard into my VLC player, but having trouble. I've heard that Firefox can do it, but I have no idea how to get the plug in. Any advice helps.

Go to add ons and type in flash video downloader. Do it thru the add ons on Firefox and you should be fine
