How to find out when med schools start?

It's like med schools have their start dates shrouded in secrecy or something. It's impossible to plan dates when I don't know when student orientations are!

Sometimes I can find a 2008-2009 academic calendar, but that's it. Is there a thread with orientation/first day of class for all med schools? It seems to be almost impossible to find!

Find their website, look for contact information, and call them...?

Yeah, I can call my one acceptance and all the waitlists, but that seems like a waste of time (for me and them) when they can just easily post the dates somewhere online. This process seems very inefficient and strongly catered to the needs of the schools. I mean, c'mon, rolling admissions, rolling waitlists that can call you the day before school starts? No other admissions process is so hectic.
