It's not secret that the MCAT now has a bunch of passages pulled from journals. No big deal, I found them to be ALRIGHT, BUT would like to get extra practice by reading journal articles from nature, biochem, etc.

however, they seem to require purchase. i tried to log in from my undergrad library account but I guess i have expired that...option .

Anyone has any tips, or ideas?

Yea, there's plenty of articles available on pubmed and the like. They may not be the most up-to-date but you can get a good number of them from within the last 5 years at least.

If you're merely using these as exposure and practice, the older ones should suit your purpose.

Google Scholar also gives you some access, but you have to have some sort of idea of what you're looking for.

The whole point of pubmed is to give you articles for free, no?

Sucks you expired your UG library priveleges. Those are seriously helpful for a variety of reasons.

Pubmed central only. Regular pubmed is a mixture of paid/unpaid articles.

Thanks. I suppose I can go to the local university library and use their computers.

I know that the april mcat 2015 had a lot of passages that were not very complex, yet from journals etc so it's good practice to read them and get in that habit...

If any one want to start an email journal article exchange with me - we send each other an article with some basic questions - that would be great! PM me!
