so i'm figuring some of you might be in the same situation...good overall score but one low section. im worried its going to come up in my interviews and i dont really know how to answer. is it better to take responsibility for it or try to make up a good reason why its lower than the rest?
also, are they asking out of curiosity or are they hoping for a justification?
anyone else with the same problem?
thoughts?

shoulda studied more, but also ____ affected me.

Yeah, how would I justify my low score in QR?! :scared:

For me everything was great except for my QR. I will try to justify it by saying that I was not prepared enough during high school, I took some low division mathematics courses that also did not prepare me well for the SAT math section. I never excelled in mathematics because of the poor training during high school and therefore my QR score was poor....

because im mexican and kant reed good jk. dont make excuses

...so poor training=poor score, makes sense

unfortunately for me, no one really has training for pat...unless theyre in engineering or some major like that

i just owned up to my poor RC. hate to sound corny but the truth is obviously the best way to go... i just said that i struggle with speed reading on standardized tests, and i feel my college performance backs up my ability to read and comprehend large amounts of material....

i wouldnt know what to say for a poor QR... maybe just that your not the best a quick math and you dont feel this should inhibit you from being a good dentist in any way

for me, QR. If they ask, I will tell the truth. Math has never been my strongest subject. Add in the fact that I did not spend the majority of my time studying for that section and that I find it hard to do that my word problems in such a short amount of time led to my 16 in QR.

no excuses

not that it justifies my 16 in QR, but they probably see lots of 15, 16, and 17's in QR

i know its sad, but to be honost, i was kind of happy that i did not get lower than a 16; im ok with it

Funny thing my lowest score is the one I felt best about after the test. Right when I finished the test, I was for certain I got at least a 21 on QR, but it ended up being my only score below 20...mind boggling how I was pretty sure I didn't live up to my ability on the sciences yet it was the one I felt good about that was the bad score.

Haha, I was completely opposite. As I was doing QR, every question I went through I would be like... oh my god, I'm gonna get a 17... ah 16.... .ah 13.... I saw 18 when teh score screen popped up and did a little dance. On the other hand I htought I got a 26 on the Orgo and ended up with a 22. Weird!
