I had a few volunteering experiences that were single days only, one where I was the organizer, and one where we were involved with some visually impaired children (which I found particularly rewarding). I'd really like to mention these and elaborate on them, but I don't know in which form to list them. Any ideas? Thanks.

I have several single day volunteer events and I grouped them together along with my 2 month volunteer experince for red cross katrina...

Is this what most of you have done?

I'll assume that you spent more time than one day on the event you organized. If that's true, maybe you could list that event separately and elaborate on your leadership role, then group the other one-day events together.

skip the time frame & hours per week items.
Describe the activities (single day...) in the description section.

I imagine it'll probably put me at a disadvantage, but is it ok if I didn't describe those single day activities and merely listed them?

I just listed the month/year I did them, and then I described them. I have one of those that I did twice, so I said, "XXXX is a once-a-semester community service activity dedicated to bla bla bla. During a whole day each semester, volunteers dedicate X hours of their time to help bla bla bla."
