There is no "Volunteer/Research" option in the application. Do I list it twice? Once under Research/Lab and once under 'Community Service/Non Clinical'?

I wouldn’t consider this community service. Put it under research and then explain your role.

Hmm, do not agree. Giving your time for free is the definition of volunteering, is it not?

Volunteering, sure. The most appropriate place to put this is under research and say you were a volunteer in a lab.

On a TMDSAS application, you could list it twice. On an AMCAS application, you would only list it under Research.

As a sidenote, though it may not pertain to OP, if you are getting class credit for a research experience, it is NOT volunteer.

I agree with ciestar: Put it under research and say you volunteered in the lab.

But I would not put it under volunteering/community service and would definitely not list it twice in AMCAS.

Except for those who are getting reimbursed for summer research, almost all undergraduate research is unpaid. There is no point listing it as volunteer. Research as an undergraduate implies it is volunteer work.
Plus "volunteer" for AMCAS means serving those who are less fortunate than you.
