How to Submit Letters of Recommendation for AMCAS for 2014? (Not 2013)

Hi all,

So.. I am currently in a pre-med summer program where we basically shadow doctors. I want to ask for a letter of recommendation when I am done. However, I am going to be a junior next semester, and won't apply until AMCAS 2014.

I don't want to hold off a year and then ask for a letter, because my supervisor will probably forget me already. So is there anyway I can send it into AMCAS, and have them keep it until I apply in 2014? Thank you in advance guys!! 😀

If your school has a pre-med committee, you will never be sending letters to AMCAS - you will be sending them to your school and your school will send letters to AMCAS in a packet. Ask your school the instructions for submitting to them letters of recommendation.

Will the letter-writer need to make an Interfolio account? But that sounds like a good plan. I will contact my school's pre-med committee as well.

Edit: Found my own answer 🙂 Basically you get your supervisor/professor to mail it to them without registering for an account. http://www.interfolio.com/recommendationwriters/index.cfm
