When you ask a professor, PI, physician, et cetera to write you a letter of recommendation, how do they upload their letter to, say, Interfolio? Also, is there a limit to how many LoRs you can upload to Interfolio? I'm new to this process, so please forgive me. One more thing: when you ask for a LoR, should you clearly state: "Could you, please, write me a strong letter of recommendation, if you'd be so kind?" or something along those lines? Do you want to verbally make it clear that you want a strong letter? Thanks in advance.

There are extremely clear instructions when you make a "letter writer" account. Ask them if you can do this for them if they're technologically illiterate. 99% of profs already know the drill.

No, but most schools do not take more than 5. Some no more than 3.

Yes. Ask them if they are able to write a strongly positive LoR for you.

I'd always ask if they would be comfortable writing me a strong letter for me and if they say no then thank them for their time. I've always heard to ask if the letter could be strong.

I wouldn't necessary TELL them to write me a strong letter. I always made sure the ball is in their court.
