How to utilize last 4 weeks for Bio - Scoring very poorly

Hello,

I have taken BC bio tests 6-9 and Scored 18, 15, 15, 14. My plan is to take the DAT on 8/17.

As of now, all I have done was go through Cliffs AP, but I feel like every question on BC's test is more advanced than what Cliffs taught me.

Should I memorize the BC answers as well as do destroyer problems and reassess?

Do you think I'll need to postpone the DAT if I want to score at least a 19?

You should really read the Bootcamp Bio notes or the Destroyer Dynamite Bio notes. The general consensus here is that cliffs isn't fully sufficient on its own.

cliff's is only useful for getting the general idea + the practice problems at end of each chapter


use romano's notes. and supplement it with an external source as you go along if necessary.

Thanks for the advice, I will definitely start reading the notes. Approx. how long did it take you to run through?

you could go through it in 4-8 days depending on how hard you study. I recommend to focus more on understanding and relating concepts than simple memorization

After I run through it once, would you suggest:

A) Read through it again

B) Reattempt BC tests 6-10

C) Start Destroyer

D) Read through it again w/ some destroyer

a. I did it by reading 50 a day, then reviewing those 50 the next day + 25-50 more pages.

b. re-do all the tests and learn from explanations if you can

c. start destroyer after Romano's

i don't think memorizing answers from BC's tests will help. you need to really understand concepts because you don't know what you'll come across on test day, and fragmented information will really not be useful.
