hey guys,
how do you formally withdraw? can you post a sample letter? does it have to be formal or can you send them an email saying you're not attending anymore? thank you!

I sent both emails and mailed them letters just to be safe. I think some schools might accept only the email, but if you're only emailing i'd check with them ahead of time so you're safe.

I would suggest that you call the school and let them know you want to withdraw and ask them what the best way to do that is. Some schools prefer written letters, others prefer e-mails. At one school I was told to e-mail the withdrawl to a personal account and I wouldn't have known to do that unless I called. So I say call.

Most schools need an official letter from applicants for their files. I'd send if I were you.

I had to write letters...they seemed to want a signature. But it only takes a few minutes to call up the school and ask....
