I know for most of us, it was a long time ago, but how did you guys do in High School and how does that compare to your College experience so far?

I had more fun at high school for sure.

My college experience is totally the opposite of what I experienced in High School.

I didn't really care about school where I was in high school. I failed a bunch of classes and lets just say, I was involved with the wrong people. I skipped school like 2 times a week and during the summer time I beraly went to school. Now in college, Im completely different. I go to class every day... and have a 4.0 so far. 😛 - Its harder, but its better because of all the girls 😛

Thats my experience.

I had a great high school experience. Just hung out all the time, and spent money on my car...just got B's and C's

College came around and I'm a whole new person(according to my parents)...I care alot more about my school work. Getting good grades has become my priority, and made hanging out and bumming around a thing of the past...What really changed me was when I found out what I wanted to do in life, and that was to become a dentist. So in order for me hopefully one day reach that goal, I had to quit the slacking and start studying...People say that I'm not social anymore and I dont give enough time to other things...but I'm happy with where I'm at...because when I'm a dentist I'll have enough time to have fun in my sports cars!

Highschool: average student, completely hung out with the wrong crowd, crappy image (had piercings and dreads), and had no idea about the future. (super average gpa.. wont' say 🙂 )

college: on track, no metal crap in my face, better social skills and in a much better spot in life, 4.0gpa as opposed to crappy hs gpa I earned.

When the attitude changed, everything else followed!👍👍👍

high school was a lot of fun for me. school was a breeze with little to no studying, got to be a part of several state champion athletics, and made friendships that continue to this day. college has been fun as well, but definitely not as care free with life responsibilities and tons of studying.

90% average. top 6 in my class. Private school, boring. Worked my butt off.
Same thing in college, ima be a dentist and make it all worth it.

I seem to be the opposite of most here.

Was top of the class in high school. Once I hit college…well…ummm…lets just say that’s a good reason I am finishing up a masters degree before d-school. 😀

once a nerd, always a nerd, for me anyways, top 10 in highschool, i was like cut throat then, staring down other peoples test grades, always in the counselors office checking my gpa...one year from fall to spring, i went from rank 10 to 15...um yeah i had them re-add that crap...yeah they were wrong i was right!

well now, not cut throat at all!!!!!!! if you do good, then good for you, i make alot of stupid mistakes on tests now in my old age, so it's made me humble, lol, i'm a better nerd now, i still strive for A's and don't cry too hard when i get B's

high school...waaaaay more fun, and i was much cooler..yes the cool-nerd.

yea, i feel ya man...finished 4th in my class in HS. did a stupid speech (lasted about 45 seconds; a lot of people were PISSED) anyway, i'm finishing my masters this summer because that same lackadaisical attitude i had in HS didn't quite work for me in undergrad...LOL

I went to an All Boys Jesuit College Prep high school. It was hard. There were no girls.
College is way more fun.

Which Jesuit School did you go to? I went to Strake Jesuit College Prep in Houston, and although it was an all boy's school, at least we had an all girl's school next door 😉. But I'll agree with you, College is more fun...chix everywheres

A's in high school came WAY more easily--since i worked harder than anyone else i was top of the class. i had a shock my first semester or two of MIT but continued to work hard, learning time management. i've improved pretty steadily. i'm not a straight A student by any means but i'm consistently a good student at this point.

socially, i had a group of girls in high school but i never developed that in college b/c i've had a serious bf from early on. hs was fun but i don't think i'd want to go back. i'm too different now; i can't explain how but i just know that i wouldn't enjoy running around the halls after school anymore. my friends and i were pretty silly back in the day.

For me, high school involved O Levels and A Levels; so, it was tough. There was so much pressure, so everyone had to work their *** off. Now that I look back, I would have been in the same situation, going to the same school, ending up in the same dental school, if I had even put in 25% of the effort.😛

College was great, thanks to all the friends. Otherwise, it was hectic as hell! Barely had time to do anything.

high school was a joke compared to college. I look back at high school and keep wondering how i didn't get a 4.0...On the other hand, college is when you really grow up as a person and find out who you really are. I'm still searching 🙂

high school was a breeze, college was more (too much?) fun.

My story is different. In high school, I studied hard particularly in my junior and senior years. When I got to college I was expecting college to be even harder and require more studying. So in my first semester, I went above and beyond in my studies (creating notecards, studying 2 hours for every 1 hour of class, visiting professors regularly). As a result my grades in college are higher than my high school years. In fact, college seems easier because of flexibility in my schedule rather than being in a school setting of 8-3 Monday to Friday. Now, I have realized that I could get the same results with less studying.
