Another GPA question. At the beginning of college I had to start math with the basic stuff. Also I got C's in introductory chemistry and biology which courses are low level. I have mainly struggled with math but have made extreme improvements. So my question is, how does AADSAS see these basic level courses? Does introductory algebra/chemistry/biology make a big deal and go toward science GPA, overall,or both. I have done well in all the pre-req courses and my BCP should be around a 3.3 counting the introductory courses. Without the intro courses it should be around a 3.6. Since transferring to the university I've been doing very good. I'm just worried that I wont be a very competitive applicant for struggling in the beginning. Your advice would really help.. thanks

Sure it is taken into consideration, but what they want to see are improvements. An upward trend in grades is very important, if you were getting C's in introductory classes but are now taking classes like biochem and high level math classes and getting high grades, there shouldnt be any reason for them to hold a grudge about not doing so well in lower level courses. It would look MUCH worse if you got A's in the low level courses and then came to the uni and started doing bad in the upper level courses. Even if the gpa's were the same you would be worse off. Rock the DAT and you'll have a good chance at getting accepted into at least one D-School.

To answer your question...

My remedial math courses went as
Course Level: Remedial
Subject: Other Science

I never took any remedial bio or chem classes so I don't know about those, but I would assume they would be figured in as science courses.

Good luck...
