Hello! I will be applying next cycle, but I've been trying to calculate my AMCAS GPA and am a little confused on how they will do the conversion from my school's credit system. We typically receive 2 credits for a regular course and 1 credit for a lab, since those are offered as completely separate courses. Will AMCAS convert this to still represent labs as half the weight of regular courses or could this change?
Thanks everyone!

That's pretty confusing system. Why do they do 2 credits instead of the 3 regular credit hours? Do you guys have less class time or something? Anyway, GPA calculations are based on a formula that depends on credit hours.

GPA = (Sum of Grade Wight)/(Total Number of Credit Hours Attained)

I believe that's how they will do it but converting all A-,A+ to A etc.
