The first half of my freshman year was done at a community college before attending my 4-year university because I was accepted for the spring semester, and not the fall (deadline issues i guess? never asked). My first semester like a lot of freshman wasn't the best, I finished with a 2.5 gpa and took 12 credits there. I am currently a senior getting ready to apply, and majority of my credits is at the institution i transferred to after my first semester of college. From what i understand schools will receive a transcript from my university, and the community college. So it would be something along the lines of: XXCC- 12 credits/2.5 gpa, XXUniversity- 95 hours/ 3.59. Then ccGPA- 3.46, sGPA-3.565.

My question is will this change the way adcoms view/weigh my ccGPA? After my crappy first semester I got it together after that for the most part/

Well, they certainly wouldn't view it the same way had you had similar grades in your freshmen year at CC. Many med schools do reward reinvention and also will weigh your more recent grades more than earlier ones. Upward trends are good so you're still probably fine for most mid-low tier schools.

Were any of your science/premed courses taken in the 12 hrs at the CC you attended? If not, I wouldn’t worry about it too much. You have an upward trend and that’s important.

Rising GPA trends are always a good thing.
