Hello all

For who interview at Howard this coming up Tuesday, how do you get to school from Dulles airport ? I'm planning to take taxi but it seems litte too expensive. Does anyone want to share the trip with me so it will be benefit for both of us ? I'll arrive to Dulles at 8h15 am.

In a perfect world, u'll find someone who's going to the same interview and arriving at the same time as you so you two could split the cab fare. But seeing that it's quite unlikely, I'll suggest you rent a car for the day, u should be able to get one for $30/$40 and pick it up from the airport. It would have been a whole lot easier if you were flying into Ronald Reagan instead of Dulles.

For the previous acceptances, how did they notify you? email, call or regular mail ? I know it's less than a week since my interview but....this is killing me lol 🙁

Well, Your lucky cuz your wait isn't as long as mine! lol! I interviewed in mid-November! and I still haven't heard anything from them yet??? I even called and she said they are still making decisions! Well, one thing is that I didn't send in all my final transcripts. But I did send them twice cuz they didn't receive it the first time! but other than that! and that was all back in January. I am just curious how long this process works for Howard with one staff on-hand! But I heard they do majority of their interviews in March! So, I hoping for some letter soon or in April! I hope! Do they even send out rejections? or do people get rejected from Howard?

Does school offer any more interviews after 3/10/10 ? When I talked to Terry on my interview date, she told me as fas as she knew that 3/10/10 would be the last interview day. If they have not found enough students for the next year yet, then they may interview more students. Otherwise, that's it.
I'm wondering was anybody invited lately?

Yeah, I know I shoudn't jump to that conclustion that fast. Actually I dreamt getting rejection letter last night and that's why I dropped an msg to the forum earlier.🙁

So i have an interview coming up at howard...and i am wondering...are the interviewers as rude as the admission staff at howard? i think her name is Ms. Sconion and she is extremely rude, unprofessional, and seem to be in a bad mood every time i talk to her ( after calling 20 times cuz she never picks up her call ). Can anyone who already had the interview tell me what to expect? How long it will last...? How many other students would be there... and such? Anything i should know ahead to prepare for? If those of you who already had the interview can help me out that would be so great and i would greatly appreciate it. I really hope to God the interviewers would been nicer than the admission staff lady.....

The interviews are about 20 minutes long and the questions are pretty generic. I will say, though, that one interviewer in particular seems to have a reputation for being very rude and hard on the interviewees. Some current Howard students pointed this out and after witnessing others exit the interview it seems this reputation is well deserved. IMO that is unacceptable, if I had that experience I would not consider attending Howard for one second. Luckily my interview experience was overall positive but did nothing to change my opinion of the school.

I am kind of unsure what to expect also. When I got the call for the interview last Thursday she told me that I should receive an email that will contain all the information that I will need for the interview. I know that I will need to bring the supplemental form and a transcript but I never received the email. I am planning on calling them tomorrow since my interview is Friday so that I can make sure I have everything I will need especially since I am from out of state and will be SOL if the need something out of the ordinary that I didn't think to bring. Do you guys know if there is anything in particular that I will need besides these things for my interview?

I'd imagine you should get the email very soon but here's what I got from them if it helps:

After careful review of this year's applicant pool, the School of Pharmacy and the Admissions Committee invite you to come in for an interview. Your interview is scheduled for Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at 11:00 AM. Please bring the following items at interview as indicated:

· Supplemental Application (Download from www.cpnahs.howard.edu)
· Supplemental Application Fee ($45.00 Money Order ONLY)
· Official Transcripts from all colleges or universities previously attended
. Driver's License, State ID, or Alien Registration Card with you for verification purposes.

Upon arrival, please report to the School of Pharmacy (Chauncey I. Cooper Hall), 2300 4th Street, NW, Washington DC, Office of Student Affairs, Room 106. We are located on the corner of 4th and College Streets, NW. Directions can be obtained at http://www.howard.edu/parking/directions.htm

The interview process will take approximately 2-3 hours, which will include, 2 brief quizzes, a tour and meeting with two faculty and/or alumnus from the School of Pharmacy. Please dress in professional attire. On campus parking is limited. Therefore, we advise that you obtain a ride, take public transportation or if you choose to drive, plan to arrive early to secure meter parking.

Thank you so much for your help Li0nh3art, I actually emailed her today hoping that she would by chance have time to respond and she did within about an hour. She didn't really give any details just a quick overview of what I will need to bring and the address so appreciate your response in that it gave me a little more to go on so I know what to expect at least. I am really glad I didn't have to call because I have heard others say it is difficult to get through and speak with her.

Good luck reaching her Nupe, if you haven't gotten a hold of her by phone try email. Maybe you'll have better luck.
