Has anyone else noticed that Howard is missing from OTCAS? I tried contacting Howard directly about 6 weeks ago and never got a response. Has anyone had any luck contacting them?

Yes I wanted to apply there. I emailed a few weeks ago and was told that the application would be up by the end of September but it is still not on there. I told myself I would go back and check each day to see when it posted on OTCAS and GradCAS

At least they emailed you back! I emailed them asking about it in July and they never responded to me.

I called and they said the first week of October it should be up, they were finalizing the supplemental app! I have been checking all week though and no such luck. Hopefully, its up by the end of this week though.

Do you have to have all of your prereqs done before applying?

No they are some that can be in progress. I am not sure on how many though, assuming they have to be complete before matriculation in Fall

I talked to Howard's department chair today. No definitive date yet but she told me that they are waiting on the University to release the application so it should be up by the end of October. I plan on checking OTCAS everyday until the end of October. I hope this helps!

Is anyone else having trouble filling out the supplemental application? Some of the blanks seem to be force complete. Also on OTCAS I can't seem to submit my application even though there is a check mark on the application its showing its incomplete on the submit application tab.

There is a part on the supplemental application that says "what most influenced your decision to attend Howard University" is this if you have been attending the school or every applicant has to answer this in another paper?

This application does confuse me a bit so whoever has successfully filled it, please share any advice!

I saw that and also had the same question but I assumed it was a part of the section only Howard University attendees had to fill out. I submitted my supplemental application along with my resume and CPR card just in case. I am still waiting to hear back from them. Good Luck!

I have a quick question regarding Howard's physics prerequisite. On the program's website it says the minimum credits required are 3. It does not mention having to take a lab which would make it 4 credits of course. However, on the supplemental app, the minimum credits for physics is 4. I have taken physics (3 credits), but not the lab and am unsure if I fulfill the prerequisite for the program. Anyone have any additional information on this? I've emailed them and am waiting to hear back!

Wow, I am just now seeing that discrepancy. I, as well, have only taken a Physics course for 3 units without the lab. If anything, I feel like we would be able to argue as to why the class should suffice because there are two options but please keep us updated on what they say. I feel as though since their application due date got pushed to February, they are going to be in less of a rush to answer questions regarding applications.

Oh no! I've just been using the admissions email address. I went through my emails and just realized I sent them an email in November and never heard from them for that either. Does anyone have any information that may help us?

I appreciate the update. Sometimes I get lucky and when I call the Program Director, Felicia Banks, she picks up and can answer some questions. She doesn't respond to voicemails though, so I would call either right before or right after when people usually take their lunch (11:30-1:30ish). That is when I have had the most success in getting my calls answered.

However, I would probably wait until Monday since her voicemail is probably filled from people calling and leaving messages from the break. Hopefully she can catch up by Monday afternoon. If you can't reach her by then, I would just submit. Hey! They emailed me back!! Good news, they said that they put 4 credits since in most schools the lab is included, but they will accept 3 credits as well! Good luck!!
