Is Human Anatomy and Human Anatomy lab a requirement for Pharm school?

Also, is ANY speech class fine for the Speech class requirement? Even this course: http://extension.berkeley.edu/cat/course1508.html

Thanks in advance.

1. For many schools, yes

2. Not sure

Please use the search function to find the answers to your questions. Also, please visit pharmcas.org- go the school pages. The pre-req requirements are listed for all PharmCAS schools.

It depends on which pharmacy school your applying to. Check on the school's website to see if they require it.

If they require Anatomy then most likely you need the lab component as well.

Not sure about the Speech course. For some reason I believe I took the wrong Speech. Just hope I don't run into issues like last year with some of my Bio courses.

Do any of the schools you plan to apply to require speech or public speaking. I wanted to take a general speech class that would fit my schedule better. I e-mailed all the schools I was planning on applying to with the course description, and those that specifically required public speaking wouldn't accept a class that didn't specifically focus on that.

Does it really matter the difference between the two? My school was so backwards then and I took the one they listed in the degree planner. I really don't want to have to retake Speech.

I took a communications course at my University and it fulfilled the speech requirement for the majority of schools I applied to. The only difference is in one class you had to to individual presentation, while the other was group presentations.

It totally depends on the school. I took the one they asked me to take. If they said it was ok, then that's fine. I can't remember now which schools I asked, I asked more schools than the ones I actually applied to since I didn't know then which ones I'd narrow it down to. But there were definitely a few that told me they required a public speaking focused class, rather than a generic speech class. Contact the school to know for sure.

Will do. I think it is the wrong course based on the course description so I just registered to take the other course in the Summer.
