I am a bit worried about unemployment. When 40% of the white collar workforce in the USA is made redundant by AI then social upheaval is inevitable. The Left will become the dominant voting block. Not sure what happens after that but hopefully it won't be similar to the Russian Revolution of 1917. For reference see the movie "Dr. Zhivago" (1965). Won 5 Academy awards.

The failure of the SNAP program, SS, and Obamacare would only indicate that these PROGRAMS are failures.

In the future, a monthly income might be administered by a state and be absolutely contained without any wiggle room for "disability", or illegal aliens, or nonresidents, etc.

We’re at a very important time in world history @drusso. The digital age is bringing in a much greater magnitude of changes happening right now than google glasses or AI receptionists.

The technology could be used for amazing things and reduction of suffering, but the main goal with AI will be to make the rich richer and allow the ultra-rich to establish themselves as a new class of nobility. They want to distinguish themselves from the rest of us as much as possible.

It would be nice to have a person’s social value tied in part to service to the state/community like Republican Rome or heck even the earlier centuries of this country. But nah. The sense of community is breaking down and everyone is increasingly looking out for themselves.

That would be cool, save the cost of a c-arm tech.

But we still have issues with our c-arms, even the brand new ones, that require SOME user input.

There must be a law in engineering that says "the tech always outruns the bug fixes".

Massive energy consumption to do so..it’s funny how a guy who self proclaimed is trying to save the climate (musk) is creating tons of carbon emissions to fuel AI

1) Massive increase in autonomy (that humans direct and control) - we've seen this many times before. Autonomy helps us do more, and the more we can do, the more unemployment drops.

2) AI that innovates (but humans still allocate the innovations) - same as 1.

3) AI that innovates, and allocates the innovations (faster and better than human can) - we're ****ed.
