ok kaplan says "humoral immunity is involved in recognizing and destroying cells which have been infected by pathogens and cell mediated immunity is involved in recognizing and destroying pathogens which have not yet entered cells" It seems wrong, doesn't it?????

Where does it state that in Kaplan? If you go over the muscle/immunity workshop (I did it last night) you'll find that you are right. T cells affect already infected cells like tumors, etc. whereas B cells just detect antigens. I plan on supplementing this section w/ Schaums b/c it can get really confusing. I thought the workshop gave a pretty good overview though.
