Ok i dunno if im the only one thats sick of the wait for scores...this whole July thing is stupid...it shouldn't take that long to grade an exam that was COMPUTERIZED!!!!! ugh its annoying...nebody getting any type of emails about scores? thanks

Unfortunately that's the wait. There's nothing we can do about it now. I believe part of the wait stems from the fact that this is a new type of test, and to score this new exam and have scores normalized with levels of proficiency from years past will undoubtedly take some time. I would rather the scorers get it right and take their time than have them rush it through and end with a whack score.

I just keep reminding myself the bigger the sample size for the "new" mean, the more accurate a normalization against the past mean. It's all about the power! :meanie::bow::meanie:

So I can wait until they have a nice, big group from the 5/15 'til end of June. It only helps us get as accurate a score as possible.

i agree with wanting a legit, normalized score, but that wont stop me from daydreaming of getting an email telling me my scores are ready, lol. i just want this process to be done with i think.

Has anyone ever heard of someone getting an inaccurate score? If so, how would this even happen? I mean, humans make errors and it stands to reason that one out of every 10,000 tests might have an error in scoring. or is NBME's system made fullproof by some mechanism? it sure would suck if you really scored a 245 or something, but got your score back and it was like a 225. Then you just resigned to the possibility that the 225 was correct, and just moved on with your inaccurate score.

Damn that makes me feel ill. Now I'm not going to sleep after my I get my score. Just after I took/bombed my test yesterday, that last screen popped up and said scores would be mailed out in 6 weeks - what the hell was that all about? I thought it was an email and then we check the website.
