So, I have the 2nd ed. HY neuro, but then I saw a friend with the 3rd ed.--quickly glanced through it, and it seems like they added a few extra things (it's slightly longer). Is it worth the $25 investment to get the 3rd ed.?

Also, do you guys think 2 days is suffice to have this book down to tear this section of the test? (considering i'll go back and review it also later). I learnt it pretty well the first time around, but forgot a lot of it--hopefully it will come back quick.

I wouldn't bother. That seems like a monumental waste of money if you already have a perfectly good book on the subject.

I agree with the other poster about getting the 3rd edition. Probably a waste of money. Also two days is plenty to get through it. Good luck

i disagree, eventhough i'm notorious for using old editions of books.
this is one of the few times a book has changed not so it more flashy or colorful but to meet changes in testing standard. my friend who took the usmle last summer said he had many neuro tqs where the sx (cogwheel,brady-k, tremor at rest) really gave way the dz, but they didn't ask the dz. they show gross slides or cts w/arrows pointing to see if you know where subst nigra is. the expanded mini atlas is really good for this in the new ed.
just my opinion.
