I noticed Alkenes and alkynes were not in the list of AAMC topics, are we not responsible for these then?

For the last 23 years, there has not been any alkyne chemistry on the MCAT. For the past ten years, there has not been any alkene addition chemistry or benzene chemistry on the MCAT. There are always a few people who insist on studying it just in case, but it ends up being time that could have been spent doing something else.
