but did any of you guys have a particular music playlist while studying for the OAT? I can't study without music so I was wondering what yall listened to while getting your learning on. Haha sorry if this is a weird question.

Hi,

Only during breaks I will listen to music. I listen mostly to house music and hip hop. Also, working out and eating clean has helped me focus better.

Good luck and stay focused!

I listened to a playlist of about two songs right before I took a practice test and listened to them before I went in the testing center they were
1) Awolnation- Sail
2) Eye of the tiger

I heard it's pretty good to listen to classical music while studying. But if that makes you fall asleep, then listen to the songs that you normally listen to. Maybe not a song you are totally feeling because then that might distract you lol

Eye of the Tiger - Survivor
Welcome to the Jungle - Guns N Roses
We Will Rock You - Queen
Rock You Like a Hurricane - The Scorpions

Any montage music haha

Personally I listen to piano music as I'm studying. For some reason anything with lyrics kind of throw me off. If you're curious then you should try this song: Yiruma - River Flows in You. I choose a song and place it on repeat 😛

Hello!
I like to listen to TED talks about motivation, success and leaders. Here are a few videos I listen to when I need motivation:
1) The secret to success "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zpgS4jgvzQU&list=PL6jyfNduj7QVmZbiLwxJs3DPdevyDvodc"
2) Famous Failures "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zLYECIjmnQs&list=PL6jyfNduj7QVmZbiLwxJs3DPdevyDvodc"
3) Greatness is upon you "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oy0Lj7RkjkU&list=PL6jyfNduj7QVmZbiLwxJs3DPdevyDvodc"

I hope that helps ^^

I tried to not listen to music while studying for the OAT. I studied with earplugs or noise cancelling headphones to simulate the Prometric testing environment.

I did listen to a lot of classical music (Brahms, Shostakovich, etc.), Coldplay and Death Cab for Cutie, while studying for the pre-optometry courses.
Good luck!

good,I too have habit of listening music and I don't see any problem in this. thanks
