for comparison purposes, with all due respect, is it possible for a pharmacist to net 55k ?
Easily.

Jeez, just answer the question.
i think 55k is a modest salary for pill counters.

Superglue?my nose piece is broken on my glasses, how much profit would you make on that?
Goodness, those are cheap. Thanks a lot. 😀OMG, a place where you can get prescription glasses shipped to your door for less than $40 a pair. RUN!!!
I think the equivalent for us would be those damned robots that will take over the world in like 40 years...

Yeah too bad my lenses are going to be expensive... lousy astigmatism. 🙁I have two pairs from there. That joint is AWESOME.
Ah, technology. In 60 years, none of us will have jobs and only the people that own the aforementioned robots destined to take our jobs will survive...

If the robot AI is advanced and they are benevolent, we won't need to worry.

Or they might murder us all, who knows?
That would require the world to be completely united and tolerant of one another. I really don't see that happening anytime soon. : /Well...one of three things will happen. The machines do all of our work and either A) we form a utopia B) we kill each other as there is no such thing as work anymore and we fight over resources post-apocalyptic war zone style...or...C)The machines start by doing all of our work and then realize they don't need us and kill us all.
"A" would be the grand Marxist vision. The other two pretty much suck. So...honestly...as technology gets to that point...we should all start becoming pinko commies...
What if medicine has advanced to the point where you can live to see past 100?
But if they force us to work in some grand communist robot scheme, please don't call me comrade. I don't like that word.
That sounds like a fun way to go. I miss going to Dave and Busters. 🙁I'll die of some sort of cancer linked to Dave and Buster's overdose.

How about buddy, or chum, or oh... compatriot! How about Commode?

Confidante? Hmm, that actually seems to be pushing the definition of comrade.Just not Staliny enough.
Maybe by then I can transplant my consciousness into a robot. Perhaps, then, I can control an army of subordinate robots and take over my own little island in the middle of the ocean and plant a little flag on a hill somewhere.
as expected, most of you failed to stay on topic.
I mean, what could be more interesting than counting pills! ?
I'd wager that playing Nintendo fits the bill.
That's true for physical existence, but some think the day will come when we upload our nanotech brain scans into a matrix-style pseudoexistence.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Technological_singularity
I think the machines will force us to upload so we'll stay out of the way. It's not like we could contribute anything worthwhile at that point, and we'll be a burden to the machines. I'm partial to death over some pseudo-existence, so I'll ask them to euthanize me once the time comes.
But if they force us to work in some grand communist robot scheme, please don't call me comrade. I don't like that word.
That's because you're a troll. That's what we do. Rather than play your game we just marginalize you.
I'd wager that playing Nintendo fits the bill.
You didn't answer my question... I got bored with you . You are worthless. Can't even fix my eyepiece
Like I said completely worthless... I should ask you the same thinglol, is that all you got?

mods should close this thread as some students and pharmacists are oversensitive.
the original question, is a valid one.
me referring to most pharmacists, especially the ones who posted thus far, as pill counters, is due to my perception of pharmacy. by all means, if you like to educate me and others i suppose, then go ahead and tell us what you do besides count pills.
on a serious note, how many pharmD's would be happy with making 60k/yr post-tax considering the amount of education, money and time invested?
