i dont know if i can get a dental school admission with this score .

total : 86 ( 82, 83,87,91 )

planning to take my part 2 .

Any suggestions are welcome .

This is not bad score......it takes efforst even to score this much!
Taking part two will certainly boost your resume.....good thinking!
Also, go ahead and apply to a couple of schools of your choice .......u might have something good in your resume that others dont!🙂
U never know when you might get lucky....

i was just kidding , just having fun & going with the flow, to whatever he is suggesting or teasing .

i spoke my friend who is doing her final year DDS at UCLA , she told me that UCLA has admitted this year candidates with even 82 & 83.

i was just seeking public response , i got many positive responses and planning to takem y part 2.

And my GPA is 3.47 on 4.0 sclae

more than 4 1/2 years clinical experience.

i see tht u r done with ur part 1.
I feel tht u shld apply in Bu and NYU..Quite a few schools on east coast might still have not crossed their appli. deadlines..Apply everywhere.

Make a strong SOP. tht'll help. if u have work ex here.get a good recco.
U might get in a school even without ur part 2 score.

Ur work ex and GPA are good. Dont worry about 86 score..try and make ur overall appli. strong.

I believe that you should not go for masters program or 2 year hygiene program for improving the GPA. if you are not confident about your experience, then you should worked as a DA or take part II exam. But dont give up. GPA from foreign schools ofter varies depend on the schools. and nowadays the dental schools knows about the situations of grading system in foreign countries. I think NYU is looking more importance to gpa, other universities are not giving not much importance to GPA as compare to other factors for international dentists.

i got my score last week its 87 and i hav applied at nyu and bu but i havnt received ne reply can neone tell me how long do they take after receiving application materials to call do they even tell whether they r gonna call for interview or not. also i had for my scores to b submitted on the same day that i gave the exam and i just got to know they havnt as yet do they normally take this long to send the scores to uni even though i askd them beforehand.

In my opinion apply to schools-- and it is not a risk ....... if you get thru..well and good, otherwise go according to your plan!

U wont be risking anything by applying to a couple of schools.......

Hi mishale, you have good gpa and toefl score, and you should have to represent yourself with your positive aspects. CT is right, there is no harm to apply to dental schools. I have seen so many applicants are accepted with score around 80s. you should tried your best with the application. Think positive. and applied for the remaining schools. all the best.

I received recommendation letter from dean yesterday and it has one spelling mistake and my wife totally dejected the letter saying it is no good then. I never knew one error can mean that much but according to her any referrence with error will be looked down upon. Uh! i dont think so. Am i right?
