I think you can get in just fine with a 6 in VR. A 25 isn't that bad and your Bio score is pretty high. With a 4.0 and some extracurriculars I think you got it in the bag. Being Argentinian definitely helps as well. Hope this helps.

Please explain to me why you would spend 4 YEARS of your life getting a 4.0 and throw you chances of getting into not only MD, but a TOP MD SCHOOL depending on the rest of your app. because you do not want to reake ONE TEST?

Dude, I would love love LOVE to be in your position, and I know I am far from the only one. PLEASE don't throw away a 4.0! 😱

Hey man, I was in your situation last year. I had an awesome GPA, took the MCAT in may and just didnt have enough time to prepare for it and got a 24. I studied over the summer (really hard), got a 30, and got into a good medical school. Now I'm just about to finish up M1 year. Take it again, and study hard 🙂 Don't worry, it'll work out.

Is being a reapplicant a bad thing in case crap hits the fan? If being a reapplicant is bad then i like your idea a lot but thats is really hard to decide on just one. So if it was up to you what is the 1 school you would apply to that you think is the easiest? Also i hear stuff about historically black colleges any information on those? Im half white and half argentinian but my skin is white like normal white people

This is a very wierd situation I am in. I have a 4.0 GPA from Notre Dame and have some extra curriculars like community service, and organizations. I got my mcat back and got a 25. The kicker is i got really high in the writing and screwed up my verbal with a 6. So physical science was an 11 Bio was an 8 and verbal was a 6. I want to apply to 10 to 12 schools. Can i get in with my mcat score being low? I heard there are hidden limits like if you dont have a certain score in a section you are out, Please help me out do you think i can get accepted if i apply now or do i have to take the MCAT again?

UPDATE: I registered to take the MCAT again in August so by the time scores get released it will be in September which is kinda late. Also if my scores go down to 9-8-8 would that form of 25 be acceptable or that is still a no no?

Well, that was me a year ago except i got an 8 in physical science and an 11 in bio. I retook the test in August and got a 29 (8-10-11). My verbal was still a struggle, but a LOT better than a 6. I applied to 12 schools and was accepted to 4 schools, 1 waitlist, and a total of 7 interviews (turned down 2). All in all, do not lose hope. I was really bummed when i had to retake, but just practice, practice, practice! That is what I did the second time and it paid off. Many applicants have to take the MCAT twice and you have a 4.0, so they know you are a good student. So, no worries, there is hope! 👍

I think taking it mid july is just too early with my loser ass 25 would you not agree. A month an a half is probably not long enough to get me scoring in the 30s ont he real one.

When did you take the MCAT the first time? You mentioned you studied like 8 months for it?

The reason that I ask is that since you've already studied hard for the exam, and your practice scores were in the 30's, then it shouldn't take you that long to get back into the 30's... Like you said your exam was a fluke, study a month or two max and take the exam! Don't wait until August, if you were really in the 30's on practice exams then you'll be right back to that within a month of studying.

University of Notre Dame- Fighting Irish and catholic roaring through my veins. you guys think the world of people who go to high ranked schools. All you have to do is go to a prep high school and you are in. . From my high school about 10 of us went to notre dame and we were a class size of around 50 people.
