With several interviews coming up, flying is inevitable.... my first OOS interview I cannot drive to is next month. Any advice is welcome and much appreciated!!

Book s soon as you can, as cheap as you can get it. You need to factor in the weather and potential for delay/cancelled flights.

Depending on how busy the airport is you'll need to arrive at least an hour before boarding time.

and rent a car if you need to, many rental service offer airport pickup/ drop off.

If you plan on staying a night, you can use airbnb for cheapest cost.

I suggest setting aside plenty of time after interview for departure just in case something goes wrong.

One very important thing is that you need to pack your suit well. There are guides on YouTube to prevent wrinkles.

I would recommend to come an hour and a half before boarding in case of long lines and thorough search by TSA. Sometimes they do a random swipe for explosives, which happened to me ones. I spent 40 minutes at TSA with all the extra searches they had to put me through

Pack light & don't check in a bag, just pack a carry on & a backpack. No large/regular liquid products. Travel sized toiletries (1 oz bottles of less & must be in clear bag I think 1gallon ziplock is ok!) wear comfy shoes & clothes !
