I just got a B+ in Bio 107 :(

I got a b+ in Bio 107 and this is the first class of all pre reqs I have taken so far. I am a junior btw and I'm starting late and I will have to stay in school a year extra to finish them all.

But a B+ in bio 107, I am not happy with. I worked really hard, I killed myself for this class and I was expecting a A-.

I was wondering If I have it in me, to go ahead and do it. Because If I got B+'s in all my pre reqs that wouldnt be good enough for me to get into dental school.

I will still try no matter what, but I feel kind of down about it.

Anybody else ever been in this situation that can offer some words of advice?

I don't know... B+ is a GPA killer. I might retake the class

Ochem 1 wasn't bad at all. Ochem 2 was a BEAST!

Uhh ohh. You better forget your dream of going to Med school, Dental School, Pharmacy School, Grad School. Your life is over, but you can still go to Law School😀 With those type of grades. Then you can sue the schools over the mental anguish and suffering they caused for not accepting you. It wrecked your life, and now you are lost in a sea of utter emotion and cant face the outside world as you are driven to embarrassment do to the school not accepting you.😳
Remember they expect nothing less that A's when applying to Dental School. Otherwise they put you in that "other" pile.

Na. Seriously B+ is not a bad grade. I got C's in all of my Bio Classes and I am going to D-School this fall.
Just take it in stride, and keep on taking those classes, you'll be in dental school in no time.

I am gonna be nice. 🙂 Don't worry about your B+. That is a good grade. I know that you really wanted that A-, but there will be more classes to come. There have been plenty of people who have even received Cs and managed to gain acceptance into dental school.

Furthermore, some people are just irked by your comment because a B+ is really not something to worry about.

Take care and don't be too hard on yourself. Try to improve your grades and remember that it is the overall gpas that really matter. And that a B+ is excellent and no reason for a panic.

omg a B+ is awesome . but i know wut u mean for a class u were diong super well in and expected an A. well. jusst know that its still very good overall. i am getting more than enough C's in bio classes and very discouraged.

You are right, B+'s in all your prereq's would not be good enough, but don't worry too much, just study harder in your other classes. I got a B in my first semester of Gen. Chem. It was my first science class and after that I thought that there was no way I could pull a respectable GPA in my prereq's, but I kicked it in gear and got A's in both semesters of O-chem. Just because you got a B in an easier prereq doesn't mean you can't get an A in a harder one. You just need to change your study habits. Good Luck!

Well, Sexy, I know that you can do a lot better and that you have been improving. I understand that it seems discouraging, but don't be too discouraged. I know you and I know what you are capable of. You can do it. The path won't be easy but as long as you are willing to put in the effort to change and to make things better, you can succeed.
