... from a school without even having applied there.

I got an email today from a pharmacy school saying that if I apply, they'll "expediently evaluate" my application and they gave me an interview date in January that I would be invited to campus for. I haven't applied to this school, and have never indicated any interest in their program. They likely got my info from when I took the PCAT.

Of course, this is a pre-candidate program.

I just think it's sad how these new schools are popping up and literally begging people to apply. I've gotten emails from other schools too, offering a "quick admissions decision", "first choice of interview dates", and "priority scholarship consideration". Some have even sent emails offering to waive or discount their application fees.

I'm not shopping for a sale while I'm applying to schools. I just don't understand how the deans of these schools can not be embarrassed by offering these "deals" to prospective students.

*sigh*

Just out of curiosity,
What school was this?
Bc I got that email from a school too without even applying there...

LMAO I think I got the same email from the same school because they also use the same phrase, “expediently evaluate.”

Out of the three schools I applied to, none of them contacted me without me previously expressing interest. I know schools can buy contact info for students scoring greater than a XX percentile on the PCAT and then send ads to those students, but this is ridiculous and desperate.

It’s not even a “sale!” It literally does not cost one cent to wait around for an interview the old fashioned way! Their tuition is still gonna be $45k a year! And since it’s halfway through the application season a bunch of their scholarships are gonna be taken already.
