I just sent off my transcripts, should I just hold off submitting my app?

I had some unfortunate problems with financial aid, and my transcripts were held until last week when I was finally able to send them.

I know that at this point it'll take over 3 weeks for my transcripts to be received by AMCAS, which they won't even be able to touch my app until then.

Does it now make a difference if I send my app before they receive the transcripts?
I was thinking about just continually revising my application, and submiting it when they receive my transcripts...

I would submit it anyways. So what if it just sits there until you're verified, at least it'll be done. And you never know how quickly they may have a chance to verify your transcripts - mine were verified several days sooner than I expected.

However if you think your app needs revising then by all means, go ahead and revise. Better to have a strong app than a weak one but don't revise it for the sake of revising it because then you might just be overdoing it. Do what you think you need to do with it and then go ahead and send it regardless of the status of your transcripts.

I would not submit yet and just revise until I'm satisfied. They won't get to your file until your transcripts arrive and are entered into the system anyways. If you looked at past years AMCAS verification threads...ppl that mailed in their transcripts late correlated with a later verfication date akin to those who had submitted their primary app later.

Revise until you're happy with it...but then submit it. Don't hold it just to hold it.
