Recently received interview invites from Western, ICO, Midwestern (New AZ),
Still waiting on Nova

Interviews set for April 12 (western), 16(ICO),18 (Midwestern).

3.12 GPA, OAT 301, worked avg. 45-50 hrs a week while full-time student, 90 hrs shadowing + volunteer work

I know I'm late. Almost didn't apply because I had to put-off retaking OAT (taking care of parent with cancer) until I realized it was probably too late to do so.

Any advice? Interview wise? I know I will have to explain my grades and poor test scores.

More importantly, is there hope?

Recko, I think there is hope because anything can happen! You never know. It is pretty late in the cycle though and a lot of schools have their seats filled. All you can do is kill it in the interviews and be positive!

My stats are similar to yours and I've only interviewed at ICO. Be ready because they will go through each W D F etc! And you will have to explain why. Your file will be reviewed by one person andv the actual interview by another. The interview was really laid back as well as the file review. But I think the file review was intense for me bc I had a lot of explaining to do !

But this link will definitely help. It has questions and info about interviews for each school. http://studentdoctor.net/schools/?view=optometry

Good luck!
