Hey I'm TRYING to think of a problem in protein engineering to attempt to present a possible solution to in a protein engineering class. Do any of you have any ideas? And don't say predicting protein structure, please...

Thanks in Advance,
Dan

Many peptides have antibacterial activity, esp among resistant bacteria. Problem is, bacteria have peptidases that cleave sensitive amide bonds. There are a few ways right now of protecting these peptides being studied. Maybe you coudl think of a few more.

the peptide pyrrhocoricin is hot right now

This thread caught my eye because you said that you "needed a problem." I have too many problems, you can have some of mine.
