I am a Junior and I basically started my first year as a pre-medical student my sophomore year of college, not by choice but simply because of availability at my school.

I am currently taking Physics II and Organic Chemistry II and over the summer I plan on taking a semester of Biochemistry (4 weeks or 6 weeks depending on which school I choose), and studying for the MCAT. My advisor suggest I take the MCAT in August, depending on how I am scoring on my practice exams I may shoot for July.

Here is my question: Should I apply to medical school in June when the application opens and submit without my MCAT scores OR should I apply after I get my MCAT scores? I've had a medical school admission tell me that my application is time stamped and I will have a place in line and my advisor says my application will sit in que and they will not review it.

Any advice?

MCAT in August is going to put you a little later than is ideal. July would be much better.

As above, you should submit primary with one throwaway school listed in order to get verified, and then when you have your MCAT score back you can make an appropriate list and send your already-verified primary out to them.
