Alright everyone here is my issue. I posted a thread a semester ago getting advice that I had to get straight A's to get my gpa to a 3.5 or higher. Recently my mom had two heart attacks with surgery, my grandmother passed away and since the loss of my dad's job I have been working full-time. Due to this I have an A in speech, an A in world religions, a C in Chemistry (might be a D now
) and a C in Calculus (also might be a D). I have had numerous problems this semester and if my grades stay at A,A,C,C my gpa will drop down to 3.0. If I get an A,A,D,D my gpa I believe will drop to 2.8. Right now I have no idea what I should do! I was planning on transferring to NIU this fall. I will have 36 credits after this semester and I don't know if I should transfer if I get a 2.8 and repeat the classes or repeat them at the community college and transfer with a better gpa. 😕 I won't be working starting next semester and grades will definately improve but I need to know if I still have a shot at an MD school. 🙁 This summer I will be volunteering heavily in a hospital since I won't be going to school.
