as a doctor even though thats my dream. It seems so unattainable, since I messed up my GPA already
Don't give up so soon. Remember that getting into med school is not just about your GPA. Try to work harder, and strengthen other parts of your application. Even the seemingly strongest applicants feel nervous 'cos you never really know until you get that acceptance letter. Good luck.as a doctor even though thats my dream. I hope that you are exaggerating.
I feel like I spend more time freaking out, then actually STUDYING. this is bad, god, I hope I can get it together soon
I have 3 C+ grades in science classes and I have 5 acceptances so far (with an MCAT just slightly above average). Med schools clearly consider upward trends.
did you do a Post-bacc. or SMP? and are you a URM?
OP, I hope you are exaggerating, but if you are even remotely serious with the title of this thread, please talk to someone immediately. SDN is great, I love SDN, but this is not where you should be looking for support if you are thinking about suicide.
I was once there - I tried to study intensely but would start freaking out, realizing that I had no recollection of the paragraph I just read. People that are over stressed have suppressed cognitive abilities. Don't rack up a bunch of bad grades that you will have to explain later. You should see a therapist, maybe go to your school's counseling center, and seriously consider taking time off or withdrawing from some classes (assuming you are an undergrad.) Good luck.
