I submitted my primary a couple of days ago and I can't help but look back and wish I'd done a better job describing my most meaningful clinical experience. I didn't write about any specific patient encounter and instead focused on what I learned/impact, and while I thought it was good at the time, it now feels like a mistake. This experience was formative in my decision to pursue medicine and I don't think I made that clear. It also doesn't seem super cohesive because I switched focus mid-essay. How screwed am I? Will writing about it in my secondaries help? Does anyone else wish they did things differently? I feel sick.

Without knowing what you wrote, it sounds like you followed the directions/intentions of the MME.

I wrote about how through scribing, I have learned how information is pieced together to form a diagnosis and how I can follow a provider's thought process based on answers to probing questions and physical exam results. I'm partially concerned because I didn't say anything along the lines of "I enjoy the complexity/way of thinking and want to do it for the rest of my life". Does what I discussed sound ok? I might just be way overthinking everything.

I also think you did it right, the guide is what the experience meant and what you took from it.
You don't have a ton of space for stories in this section and you don't have to relate every experience back to medicine

I focused on the exact same thing this cycle. I focused on stories last cycle and got 1 II out of 48ish secondaries completed. I think you’re going to do fine. Take a breather. Feel free to PM if you want to talk more about MME writing or show me what you submitted.

OP didn't seem to focus on stories tho, just statements of what they learned
