So, I have a leadership position in my local DSA (Democratic Socialists of America) chapter, and it takes up a small but significant chunk of my time. My intuition is that DSA is too far outside of the mainstream and I shouldn't mention this as an activity on my application or in an interview - am I off base here?

What about Food Not Bombs? Do people think of that as a radical lefty group or just a org that feeds hungry people? Books To Prisoners? I'm starting to worry that a lot of my activities are too leftist to include on my application.

There are plenty of "old lefty's" (that's what my accountant calls himself) out there that will love it.
As long as you are not plotting the fall of democracy, I'm sure it will be ok.

I am the Harassment and Greviance Officer and the chair of the Membership Engagement Committee. I am basically socialist HR. If this is what overthrowing democracy is like, it is disappointingly unsexy.
