Hi,
I took Part II today. And this is not the first time I take it. But honestly, I felt very good after the exam this time around. I felt more prepared than previous times. Part II is definitely harder than part I. I used Presby manual and did questions from that podiatryboardsprep.com. This website is very decent. The questions covered a lot of topics that i saw in the exam today. And just the fact that I was able to test myself and practice being in exam mode, helped me a lot. Does anyone want to share their exam experience? What did you guys think?

Did you get asked a lot of medicine/surgery questions (non podiatry)? Anyways congrats on taking it!

do you remember how many questions with multiple reponses was asked?

I got asked alot medicine, not much surgery.there was alot radiology and some derm, but mostly medicine . I had at least 10 question swith multiple correct answers, they were all toward the end , I was already tired by the time I got to them. I think its all about practicing being under exam pressure. If I can only master that!!

have you ever used PRISM? Was there much on classifications or is that more of a pimping 4th year thing?

I used PRISM before going to TX for interviews, PRISM is just to prepare you for interviews. This time I used Presby, I read it twice and I did about 800 questions from podiatryboardsprep.com, There was couple questions about Classification but they were very straight forward. Trauma is not really tested in this test. You would pass the test even if you do not know any trauma.

Hi, was there alot questions on the exam similar to the prep website? and did you use this for part I? what is the best material i can use to study for part I?

Classifications (outside of a few very useful ones) are made for pimping externs and making their academic lives miserable. They also give bored residents something to "teach" students, or act as a tool to try boost their ego. I did hear one of my buddies had a single classification question on his part II, and I might have had one. Point is, NOT important for boards, but maybe for i-views and externships. IMO, understanding the pathology is a much better time investment.

As far as part II prep goes, the best is studying hard during every rotation throughout the year. Then run through the PI manual 3 times and I guarantee you'll pass with ease.
