This week, I formally resigned from my first full time job to begin pre-dental classes and dental-shadowing next semester!
I'm both excited and terrified (mostly of failure).
I've applied to, and am waiting to hear back from 3 formal post-bacc programs in the SF Bay Area, but until then will be taking classes informally at a local State University.
I'm 23-years-old and graduated from college in May '10. So, i've only been out of school and working full time (as a secretary, yuck!) for 6 months. Nevertheless, leaving my job and starting pre-dental coursework before even being accepted to any formal post-baccs is scary, but I've taken the plunge because I've always been interested in health and dentistry will be rewardin and fulfilling.
Just thought I'd share.
