Dude, it's the same guy. I'd bet a medical school acceptance on it. I'm a moderator on a couple of other forums, and no less than ten times have I seen someone make a stupid comment, try to drag it out, and then when they realize how stupid they sound, say that somebody else logged in to their computer. Usually it's a brother, or friend, or they were using a public computer.
For what it's worth, I left myself logged in to my school library once, and someone totally pawned me. What they did not do was go on to SDN and make silly posts that almost sound sincere, but are just stupid. Especially since everyone on SDN is anonymous and it wouldn't have been a good troll. What they did do is go on to my Facebook, change my profile picture, send messages proclaiming gay love to all of my friends, change my status to gay porn, etc. THAT is what people do when you leave your computer up.

I'm sorry, but I have no sympathy. I have also wanted to be a doctor since Kindergarten and am not an URM. I won't be applying to Med School for a couple of years but I still think that I hold a lot of responsibility. My GPA was in the low 3's (3.38) at the end of my Fall quarter. Instead of blaming others for my problems I worked my butt off, got all A's, and my GPA has already risen to a 3.59. Of course while doing this I partied with my friends, holding a part-time job, being on the leadership committee for an A'Capella I'm in, rising to the Position of Treasurer of the university German Club, volunteering, and while taking a very heavy course load.
I didn't study all of the time, but I managed my time well. Despite all of these commitments I was able to be sociable and was even able to work out regularly. It's all about setting priorities and I know what's most important for me right now. Now, I would say that most of the people applying to Medical School and getting interviews did what I am doing minimum but weren't hermits.

From past experience (h.s.) SDN's not the "best" place for advice / encouragement when you're in a situation like the OP's. When I came on here worried 'cause of my terrible SATs and decent GPA and terrible EC's, I was told I don't stand a chance. I ended up getting into ALL 3 schools I applied for. Not taking anything from this site and not trying to get on you guys but SDN users just slam it down hard! So OP's mistake was trying to get you guys to cheer him up a bit.P.s. telling the guy I had a 3.9 and great MCATs hhahahahahaha. way to rub it in. hahahahahahahahaha.

Let's say we believe that. How exactly did this "troll in a public place" know that he had gotten no interviews or his GPA or that he was applying this cycle? Look back into threads he's posted and see. Sure, you can make some elaborate story about another SDN user finding this SDN profile and so on, but it's a childish stretch. Obviously the OP is trying to walk away from something racist and dumb he said without taking any responsibility. If you want to become a physician so much then what stops you from getting to where you want to be? So what if you have to spend time in the library - if it means achieving your dreams and goals, then why don't you want to work hard for that?
We all know that college is not all about studying, that's why you need a balance between the academic and social aspects. You don't have to be antisocial and live in a library to get a 4.0 buddy, I've been there, done that. Its all about studying smart and keeping focus.
Clear mind, focus, and use your willpower.

LOL, okay. I took nearly all of my pre-reqs as a post-bacc. I finished about half of them working full-time. I dropped down to part-time near the end of my -pregnancy-, but only due to scheduling conflicts with my classes. I had my daughter a week after finals and went back to class when she was 3 weeks old. I used to study hooked up to a breast pump. I took the MCAT when she was 15 months old. 3.99 sGPA and 39 MCAT... do you want to talk about balance real responsibility and schoolwork now?
BTW, I don't believe for a second that this guy had his account used by someone else.

What doesn't make sense is why OP would log into their SDN account on a public computer the first place. The OPs post before the "troll" post is like 6hrs prior and I highly doubt he/she was left logged in for that long before someone else came along. UNLESS, the original post was the OP and then the subsequent posts are a troll. Either way I have no idea how anyone other than an 8yr old girl would choose "ponybreeder4" as their handle, no offense to 8yr olds.

well, most people fail out of the carib. Those that actually make it through and get into US residencies are perfectly qualified doctors, and it's really not scary at all.
