Hi,
I wanted to withdraw from a few schools after I submitted my AMCAS, but when I went through the process without reading thoroughly, I withdrew my whole AMCAS application. AMCAS does this horrible thing where you cannot re-apply anymore, which is so devastating being on the other end of this given that all medical schools use AMCAS. After having faced the consequences, I would recommend no one to ever withdraw their application. I did it hastily because you can only withdraw the AMCAS application before it's reached a certain point. However, that was a huge mistake of my life. Even if I wanted to withdraw from a certain schools, I should have just left that application incomplete. It would've been better then losing all your rights to apply in the first place.
I called them, told the rep that I withdrew on accident thinking I could withdraw only from certain schools, but the rep said that my application is unrecoverable. Is this true? Has anyone been successful in unwithdrawing an application. I saw in 2011 someone posted a thread and it was possible. Should I give up? or can I really keep calling and ask them to help me.
